It was cold today as it has been for the past few days. Despite this, my wife and I found ourselves outside doing all sorts of manual labor. Believe it or not, nailing latticework up in the cold is not the most pleasant way to spend a day. I have determined after today that the lattice is a scourge on society and all lattices should be burnt until all that remains is a single pile of ash.
As I was busy becoming increasingly resentful of the lattice that I was hanging around a deck, my wife was hard at work scraping old paint from a window. She does not respond well to the cold and it seems her body was rebelling against her as we left. In honor of her hard work, I have written her the following haiku:
Ode To That Snot Hanging From Your Nose
Oh little driplet
Clinging tightly to that schnoz.
Tissue? Please take one…
