Today, my 3-year-old niece and her family arrived back after a long vacation. Over the past two weeks, they visited Ireland, Germany, France, and England. They were witnesses to some of history’s greatest treasures, viewing Stonehenge, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, Buckingham Palace, and Notre Dame.
As a child, I never visited anything as monumental as these treasures. In fact, I still haven’t.
“What was your favorite part of the trip?” I asked her. She had seen many things that most people would love to see in their lifetime.
Without missing a beat, she replied, “The Charlotte airport. We flew a plane there!”
I don’t think traveling abroad is for her. She would much rather stay right here in the good ol’ U-S of A.
